After months of effort, Stardock has released DesktopX 1.1. DesktopX is a powerful desktop building program that allows users to completely transform their desktops to anything they want. Rather than replacing the shell, DesktopX gives an existing shell the ability to have true objects that interact with one another. Version 1.1 introduces the ability to interact with COM objects (spread sheets, schedules, email, etc.) via VBScript, PHP, Javascript, etc. This makes it easy for casual developers to create some truly remarkable objects and desktop themes.
