"Flarp!Bar is a nifty app launching utility which bucks the trend by being fairly keyboard-oriented, and is a little fiddly to set up. Hit a user-assignable hotkey to switch to this utility (you could click on it, but why bother?), then type in your short command (made easier with a history list and autocomplete) then hit Enter and it happens. Don&acute;t just launch apps, open web pages, even go direct to the results page of a Google search (or any other search engine you set it up for). Also has scriptable clocks to do things automatically. Windows (tested on &acute;95 to 2000), freeware, my little labor of love (and skinnable, natch)."
