Ok now that I have your attention, HoverNews will stay the choice of most of The Skinning community. KlipFolio provides news (or klips) from many different source and type of websites.
Serence Klipfolio is a free information channel viewer that lets you view and manage Klip information channels right on your desktop. Serence claim their software is fully skinnable but it´s not freeform like other applications out there. It´s still a nice download.
As a note: Maybe it could have it´s own section on skinbase.
